Description
We offer natural lavender essential oil for cosmetics, obtained from the species Lavandula angustifolia. The product bears the name Bulgarian Lavender natural essential oil for cosmetics. The oil's composition remains entirely natural, with no preservatives or colourants. The natural composition results from the natural cultivation method used for the plantings in open fields. The composition takes a liquid form and has a faint coloration that ranges from colourless to pale yellowish. The low colour intensity comes from the choice of an above-ground part, because the flowering stalk releases a limited amount of colouring substances into the final liquid. The colouring substances are also excluded during steam distillation, as only the plant's volatile molecules pass into the product and the scent retains its purity. The scent reveals a floral and herbal direction with a gentle intensity. The soft smell places the floral aspect at the forefront, while the herbal aspect remains in the background. The scent profile originates from a plant of the Lamiaceae family, whose glandular hairs collect volatile substances on the above-ground organs and retain them until extraction. The hairs develop most densely on the flowering tops, which is why the stalk carries the main share of the scent. The raw material comes from plantings in Bulgaria, where the cultivation of this crop holds a leading position worldwide. Furthermore, the Bulgarian origin ensures raw material from an area with a long tradition in this crop. The oil's qualities are based on natural cultivation, the flowering stalk and gentle distillation. The main carriers of the scent remain linalool and linalyl acetate.

Application
Lavender essential oil is widely used in skin care thanks to its soothing, moisturising and balancing properties. It is added to creams and lotions intended for dry and sensitive skin, helping to soften it and restore its natural balance. Facial serums and masks include it for its ability to help smooth fine lines and restore elasticity, while massage and body oils rely on its soft floral aroma for a sense of calm and relaxation. It is also suitable for products aimed at skin prone to redness or irritation, as it has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects. It is present in soaps, lip balms, toners and cleansing milks, as well as in after-sun and after-shaving care products. Formulators of natural, organic and vegan cosmetics prefer it for its easy compatibility with plant oils, hydrolates and extracts. It is also used in homemade personal care recipes, where it combines aromatic value with an actual effect on the skin. Thanks to its gentleness, the oil is suitable for daily use even on extremely delicate skin types.

Storage

Store natural lavender essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging and, as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably dark glass, which protect the essential oil for cosmetics from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
